james culham, founder + creative director: under james' direction, u+a has expanded into many areas from magazine, travel guides to broadband tv station, and has become a sought after voice in travel and design. "useful + agreeable" is a philosophy of voltaire's candide, who optimistically searched the world for all that is "useful + agreeable". james' ambition is to present a useful + agreeable world.
eliza lee, producer: eliza is an award-winning, independent filmmaker and new media specialist. she considers herself a storyteller, and as a result, was an early believer of the possibilities of online entertainment. in 1999, eliza produced and curated a very popular and innovative online, interactive retrospective on the celebrated "cyborg", stelarc. eliza joined u+a in 2004, and has brought her rich multimedia and content development expertise to all facets of u+a.
